A Miracle Called Life

LIFE- What a miracle it really is! We recently welcomed our firstborn baby boy, Koltyn Henry, into this world and finally I am able to experience truly what a miracle life really is. Its amazing how God caused Koltyn to be formed inside of me, how he breathed the breath of life into him and ultimately choose us to be his parents.

Weekly Words

 I heard a song called 'While I'm Waiting' by John Waller. It reminded me to always wait on the LORD- not to run ahead! So often I want to figure life out but Jesus reminded me in this song to patiently wait for HIM! Hope you are encouraged by this song. Isaiah 40:31 " But they wait upon the LORD shall renew their strenght; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint" What a faithful promise.

I'm waiting on YOU LORD

Weekly Words

Lately, God has really caused me-actually forced me- to really stop and think about what this life is ALL about.. There have been different situtaions that have come up in our family's and friend's lives that really forced me to go Running into God's Arms for support and understanding. I have decided that every weekend I'm going to post an short write up called 'Weekly Words'. These posts will just be some sort of inspiration that I have came across during the week. I hope that through it all I will become more answerable for really diggin' into God's Word and to worship Him everyday of my life. I'm sure most of you also find it so easy to get caught up in the busyness of todays world so I also hope these words will be inspiring to you also.

My first 'Weekly Words' come from a song by Hillsong that I found on playlist.com when I was creating a playlist this morning. It is called 'STILL':

Hide me now under Your Wings

Cover me within Your mighty hand

When the oceans rise and thunders roar

I will soar with You above the storm

Father You are KING over the flood

I will be still and know You are GOD

Find rest me soul in CHRIST alone

Know His POWER in quietness and trust

When we stop and are quiet, when we stop trying to solve EVERYTHING ourselves, when we give it up to God that is truly when we 'KNOW HIS POWER' and feel His overwhelming Love. God loves you and wants you to go RUNNING.. actually SPRINTING.. towards Him so He can protect you under HIS MIGHTY WINGS.  I will definently remember this song this week and probably overplay it but what an amazing truth! There's a little bun in the oven

We are excited to announce Baby VanderMeulen #1 is going to be joining our family in June 2011. Everything is going well and we are so happy for this bundle of joy God has started to grow in me. What a Miracle!

Bass Lake Adventure

Autumn 2010

Well Fall is finally here! We can't believe we have been living in California for almost 1/2 a year already! Its amazing how fast time goes. Well to give you all a little update on our lives here it is in a nutshell:

We are both working hard on the dairy- Sean feeding the cows and I am staying super busy organizing things in the office and just staying caught up on everything. We also decided to help out the chruch we have been going to with their Junior High Youth Group. We meet every Wednesday night and play with the kids, have speeches, and have small group times. We really would appreciate your prayers in this as at times it can be really frustraiting! Even though its so hard at times it is extremly rewarding esp. when the kids start asking about how they can serve God better, Love Him better and live for Him!

Besides us staying busy some of our friends have had exciting things happen in their lives:
1. Kent and Jessica welcomed their new lil' man  Ryker into their lives
2. Brandon and Stephanie Stremler have annouced they WILL be welcoming a new little one into their lives! YAY!
We are so very excited for our friends and miss them as well as all of you like crazy!
